The word irritable itself suggests the symptoms inside the human body due to the abnormal sensitivity of the intestines. As this is a chronic disease so the symptoms occur over a long period. This condition affects the gastrointestinal tract and especially the large intestines. IBS is a functional gastrointestinal disorder i.e. an alteration in the functioning of the digestive system which produces several symptoms. In this disease, no damage is caused to the intestinal tissues. the disease is also known as Spastic bowel or Colon.

Mainly improper and unhealthy lifestyle is considered to be the main reason behind it. Though it is not very serious, it can be distressing to the patients and for such chronic diseases, I would like to prefer Ayurveda or homeopathic treatment.

No doubt, it’s difficult to treat, and it takes a long time to get cured even than Doctors consider that it can be treated fully in children, can be cured with difficulty if the patient is middle-aged, and can’t be cured in older patients.

CAUSES OF IBS

1. FOOD SENSITIVITY

Many patients complain that after eating certain edible items they feel uncomfortable. For example nourishments rich in carbohydrates fatty substances and liquor.

2. BACTERIAL OVERGROWTH

Firstly some bacteria are naturally present in our small intestines or small digestive tract secondly in this disease, there is a change in the number of these bacteria. These bacteria can handle an overabundance of gas and might cause ruin and weight reduction.

3. GI MOTOR PROBLEMS

Firstly normal motility may not be present in the colon of an individual who has IBS secondly Moderate motility can expedite stoppage and quick motility can accelerate loose bowels. Some individuals with IBS likewise experience hyperreactivity, which is an unreasonable build-in compression of the bowel according to to push.

4. OVERSENSITIVE PEOPLE  ARE THE SUFFERERS

Since we all know that our brain is connected with all the processes that take place inside our body and stress or overthinking can be one of the most common reasons behind this disease. When the brain overworks it harms the digestive system. The person may feel acidity, fullness in the stomach, nausea, and no urge to eat.

SYMPTOMS OF IBS

Symptoms of IBS may vary from person to person. In some cases, the symptoms may be mild whereas in some cases the symptoms may be severe.

Some of the common symptoms of IBS  are

Abdominal pain or cramping that is often relieved after passing wind

Feeling of discomfort in the stomach.

Urge to pass stool again and again.

Alternating diarrhea and constipation.

A sensation that the bowels are not fully emptied after passing the stool

Abdominal bloating

Presence of mucus in the stool.

Nausea.

Moreover, you can consult your doctor, if such a condition prevails, and start the medicines as early as you can and the sooner you act, the easier it would be for your doctor to cure it.
